A session on the right to access and obtain information was conducted at the Practice Parliament for Youth.

The Information Commissioner's Office conducted a session on the right to access information as part of the 5th Practice Parliament for Youth program, jointly organized by the People's Majlis (Parliament) Secretariat and UNDP Maldives. The session, held on October 8, 2025, highlighted the importance of transparency and accountability in information disclosure in a democratic society. Participants were informed about why this is considered a fundamental right and shared success stories of utilizing the right to access information.

Practice Parliament for Youth is a program designed to encourage youth participation in state affairs and to nurture responsible, aware citizens. 36 young people participated in this session
