Right to Information Training Program held in SH. Funadhoo

Information Commissioner's Office, in collaboration with the Shaviyani Atoll Council, conducted a program to train and raise awareness among the employees of the Island Councils of the atoll.

A total of 55 people participated in the 2-day training programme. Participants of the training program was inclusive of all of the islands of the atoll, which included Information Officers, members of the Review Committees and senior officials of the councils.

The program provided participants with information on the basics of the Right to Information, how to deal with information submitted to an agency, exceptional circumstances under the Right to Information Act and disclosure of information by agencies on their own initiative. Additionally, participants were briefed on how to use the Maholi portal.
